Sloan named Student of the Month for March

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Brittany Sloan the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for March.

Sloan has a GPA of 96.75 GPA with eight honors and nine AP credits. She is a member of Cum Laude Society, Science National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and received the E.L. Wright Award for Creative Writing as a junior. She also works on school publications and is a member of Scholar Bowl. She has worked for two summers at the Rome News-Tribune and often volunteers at her church.

Sloan was honored Monday, March 26 by Noon Optimist Club. She is the daughter of Janet Sloan of Cedartown, Ga., and Michael Sloan of Charlotte, N.C.
