Our Senior Ventures project is about the mental and physical benefits of weight training. We plan to personally train faculty, students, and others interested in challenging themselves physically and mentally. Our work will be supervised by Mr. Joe Pitts, head of house and experienced weight lifter.

Fitness is an extremely important part in the lives of young adults and high school students, considering it is present in almost all aspects of life such as sports and free time. Being able to demonstrate the emphasis of its importance to students early in their life is a top priority for us.

We will also be providing our trainees with meal plans and training programs, and tracking their personal progress in the categories of mental health, discipline (commitment/consistency), self-image, and their overall results. We will also be creating videos demonstrating the proper way to use the new equipment in the Pierce Tiger Pit

Senior Ventures is a year-long academic program built on a framework of leadership, innovation and community engagement. Through a proven self-guided exploratory process, seniors whose proposals are selected for this program work independently to develop a project that’s interdisciplinary in scope and is connective, performance-based, investigative, or entrepreneurial. Click here to learn more.
