Senior named to All-Area Softball team

Senior Kaycie Bevis has been named to the Rome-News Tribune's 2007 All-Area Softball team. The daughter of Penny and Scott Bevis of Cedartown, Ga., Bevis is making her second consecutive All-Area selection after hitting .313 with a .403 slugging percentage. She led the team in batting average, hits and runs scored, and is regarded as one of the region's best defensive shortstops, according to a Nov. 18 article in the Rome News.
