Senior gets volleyball all-state honors

The Web site GeorgiaVolleyball.com recently named Anja Knabe-Paulsen to the all-state team. She helped lead the Lady Tigers to a 41-6 record and only their second Elite Eight berth in school history. Darlington tied for fifth in the state tournament and was the No. 6 team in Class AA/A in GeorgiaVolleyball.com’s final poll.
In just one season of varsity action, Knabe-Paulsen set eight match and single-season school records, including most aces in a match, most kills in a match, most aces in a season, and highest attack percentage in a match. She also beat the School’s career mark for most kills with 631 and set four state records for most kills in a match, most aces in a season, most aces per game for a season, and most kills per game for a season.
Knabe-Paulsen was named to the All-Tournament Team at three different tournaments and was voted the Area 6-AA/A Player of the Year by coaches.
