Second Century Campaign: The Final Stretch
By Joe Montgomery - FF/S
In 2007, Darlington embarked on a historic campaign to ensure that its second century would be as successful as its first.
In order to secure Darlington’s future, the $90 million Second Century Campaign sought to build a new Middle School, transform the boys’ houses, establish and endow a Teaching and Learning Center, sustain the Annual Fund, make improvements to technology, fund student scholarships, and increase endowment for faculty support.
We are thrilled beyond words to report to you that several of these top priorities have already been funded and we are closing in on the goal with a record number of commitments from alumni, parents, foundations and friends totaling over $88.7 million.
However, there is still much to do. We must address the two remaining priorities in the campaign: endowment for student scholarships and faculty support. Teachers and students are the heart and soul of Darlington’s academic enterprise. Your gift to Darlington School and the Second Century Campaign will ensure that we can retain and recruit the finest teaching faculty and provide important financial assistance for students.
