School offers France spring trip

Darlington students, parents, families, alumni, and friends are invited to attend Darlington’s spring trip to France, Feb. 27-March 6, 2004. Darlington faculty members and chaperones Nathalie Nicolay Welch and Marit Mniszewski have an abundance of European travel experience.
Welch, a native of France, has traveled extensively in her native land and Europe. Mniszewski has visited Italy, England, France, Normandy, and Spain for various lengths of time from a couple of days to more than a month. She had led groups abroad, participated in group trips abroad, and traveled alone.
Activities scheduled include excursions to the countryside, Provencal villages between Aix and Avignon that inspired many of Cezanne’s landscapes, the Pont du Gard aqueduct, the Loire Valley, medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, Arles, St. Remy de Provence, and the Palace of Versailles, a visit to the fountain of Vaucluse and the antique market village at Isle sur la Sorgue, walking tours of 17th and 18th century mansions, a dinner cruise on the Rhone River, a 3-hour tour of the major monuments in Paris, and so much more.
The cost is $2,495 per person with double occupancy (cost is based on 25 participants and prices reflect the exchange rate at the time of publication and are subject to change). Single supplement: $345, triple occupancy, deduct $68.
