Darlington earned the No. 5 slot in the Georgia Athletic Directors Association (GADA) Dodge Director’s Cup standings for Class AA for the 2005-06 year. This marks the seventh consecutive year that the School has appeared in the top 10. The School was also named overall winner for Region 6-AA.

GADA presents the Director’s Cup annually to the top athletic programs in each of the five GHSA classifications. Programs are graded with an accumulative point system that tabulates the success of each individual sport on the region and state level.

“By calculating the total number of points earned in each sport, these standings evaluate an institution’s entire athletic program,” said Jerry Sharp, athletic director. “Being named the No. 5 slot speaks very well of our school, illustrating that we don’t just have one dominant team at Darlington, but instead offer a total athletic program.”

Darlington was one of 84 schools judged by GADA.
