School acknowledges top honors during Commencement

The following awards were bestowed during graduation in May: Faculty Bracelet for General Excellence, presented to that senior girl most valuable in many phases of school life who has clearly made manifest her many qualities, acceptable scholarship, and effective support for the best interest of Darlington School: Elyse Moody; Faculty Medal for General Excellence, presented to that senior boy most valuable in many phases of school life who has clearly made manifest his many qualities, acceptable scholarship, and effective support for the best interest of Darlington School: William Krueger; J. Daniel Hanks Sr. Medal, given to that student (senior or underclassman) who has the highest grade point average for the year: Padrick Dennis; Valedictorian, awarded to the individual with the highest grade point average in the senior class: Melissa Jarrell; Salutatorian, awarded to the individual with the second highest grade point average in the senior class: Padrick Dennis; Headmaster’s Medal, presented to a senior girl and boy for outstanding contributions to Darlington and for making a difference in the life of the School: Mimi Sumner, Padrick Dennis; and the Oscar Betts ’19 Master Teacher Award: Skip Saunders.
