SAT Opportunities this Summer

Darlington’s Summer Session provides a terrific opportunity for rising juniors and seniors to improve their SAT scores, thus enhancing their options for college.
Students have two options: (1) a two-week course consisting of four hours daily of concentrated study and test-taking strategies, equally divided between verbal and math sections;
or (2) a four-week course consisting of two hours daily of similar rigorous work. Students who have taken such courses in the past have seen their scores increase 50-100 points, with some making even greater improvements.
Four experienced professionals will be working with the SAT program. The two-week course runs daily July 5 - 17, 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., and will be taught by math instructor Fran Buice and Learning Center Director Thomas Sorci, a former test writer for Educational Testing Services (ETS). The four-week course runs daily June 21 - July 24, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., and will be taught by math instructor Mark Gibbons and Professor John Cox from Berry College.
Day students can take either the two-week or four-week SAT review for $450. Resident students can take the two-week course for $1450. The four-week course for resident students is included in the regular four or six-week resident tuition. To register, contact the admission office.
