Darlington School will offer an SAT course taught by Upper School teachers John Cox (English) and Fran Buice (math) during the first two weekends of January. The course will include practicing more than two full new SAT tests and lectures on how to improve techniques for taking the test.

This course is primarily for juniors, but other underclassmen are welcome. Another course will be taught at the beginning of the next school year, in August 2005.

"Anyone who takes the course once may come for additional sessions at no extra charge," said Buice. "Those juniors who came this past August are welcome to come practice some more at no charge, but you need to call or e-mail and reserve space."

Cost of the course is $200, and payment in full will serve as a reservation. The textbook, The Princeton Review: 11 Practice Tests for the New SAT and PSAT, will be provided and is included in the fee.

Class times are: Saturday, Jan. 8, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 9, 1 to 5 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 16, 1 to 5 p.m.

For information, please call Buice at 235-3008, or e-mail fbuice@darlingtonschool.org.
