Darlington School will offer an SAT course taught by Upper School teachers John Cox (English) and Fran Buice (math) during the first two weekends of school. The course will include practicing one full SAT test, two graded essay sections, and lectures on how to improve techniques for taking the test.
Cost of the course is $200, and payment in full will serve as a reservation. The class will be limited to 20 people. The textbook, The Princeton Review: Cracking the New SAT with Sample Tests, will be provided and is included in the fee. Class times are: Saturday, Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to noon; Sunday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 5 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon; and Sunday, Aug. 28, from 1 to 5 p.m.
"Anyone who took the course last year may come for additional sessions at no extra charge; however, these students need to bring their book from the January course." said Buice. "Also, those students who want to attend another session need to call or e-mail and reserve space."
Seniors will be given priority. For information, please contact Buice at 706-235-3008.
