San Souci Shares Stories

The Lower School was paid a visit by Robert San Souci, children's author of more than 80 published books, on Mar. 21. San Souci talked to the students about his childhood, love of reading and his brother, Daniel San Souci, who is a successful children's illustrator. The two brothers have collaborated on several books. The students enjoyed seeing slides from the San Souci brothers’ childhood and hearing their stories.
San Souci, a native of California, had lunch with a few of our many excellent readers after his presentations. These students were fifth-graders Laura Lynch, Sarah Clements, Kennedy Wells, Stephen Seckman, Brian Burch, Jefferson Grizzard, and third-grader A.J. White.
After lunch, San Souci spent several hours signing books and chatting to students who came in the library.
