Running for Mila

Today is the cross country team’s 21st Annual 24-Hour Relay. To sum it up briefly: at least one member of the cross country team will be running on the track, one mile at a time, for 24 straight hours.
The primary purpose is for fun and team-building, but this year we are also raising money for Karmila Bain. Mila is a 2011 graduate of Darlington School and freshman at Berry College. She is from Indonesia, and has not been home since she moved to Rome over one year ago. We will collecting donations in order to buy her a plane ticket to travel home.
Everyone on the cross country team wore the same T-shirt to school today so that they can be easily identified, and are also wearing running shorts and running shoes. The relay starts at 7 a.m. on Friday and they will be running on the track during all of their free periods. They will attend all classes and do all assigned work.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and feel free to come out and run a mile or two! The relay is open to all members of the Darlington Community.
