Rhodes scholar shares nature of infinity

In response to an invitation by Darlington President David Hicks, Will Roper, a Rhodes scholar from Georgia Tech, spent a day in early April teaching physics and calculus classes in Upper School. He presented concepts on the nature of infinity and on modern warfare and science in the 20th century.
Roper holds both a bachelor’s of science and master’s of science degree in math and science from Georgia Tech and has worked on a radar system for the U.S. Defense Department. As a member of this year’s Southeast Regional Rhodes selection committee, Hicks interviewed Roper and selected him as one of four Rhodes scholars, making Roper the first Rhodes scholar from Georgia Tech.
