Rhoades named February Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Laura Rhoades the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for February.

Rhoades is a servant leadership liaison at Darlington and a member of National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science Club, FCA, Honor Council and the Student Support Team. She has served as manager of several of Darlington's athletic teams. She is also a graduate of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce’s High School Leadership Rome program and a recipient of The President's Volunteer Service Award for logging 253 hours of community service over the past year through the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership organization.

The daughter of Jane and Gary Rhoades of Aragon, Ga., Laura was honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Feb. 23.
