Project encourages charitable giving

Betsy Awsumb’s World Cultures class enjoyed a unique assignment. Student groups researched charitable organizations of their choice and were then given the chance to present this information to the rest of the class. After the presentations, the class voted on which organization to support. The fourth period class selected the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the fifth period chose the Heifer Project International. To raise funds and awareness, the students made posters and sold Stucco Day tickets. Proceeds went to the selected charities in an effort to encourage students to become involved in charitable giving.
