Janice Cox, pre-first teacher and leader of the intrepid Cox Cubs, reports that a possum – “a very big possum” – recently interrupted class studies by meandering up on their proch to eat some birdseed that they had left outside. Lower School Principal Mark Tayloe came to the rescue, however, and chased the possum away.

As was only appropriate, he read a special story, A Possum Comes a Knockin’, to the class the next day. “We loved it,” Cox said.
