It’s fall and the phoning has begun to ask alumni and parents to support the Annual Fund. The task is monumental and achieved only with the help of many volunteers.

Over 40 volunteers raised $51,255 representing 425 total gifts in six nights, including three nights of calling at Citizens First Bank, Rome, Ga., in September and three nights at Robinson Humphrey, Atlanta, in October. Alumni phonathon volunteers enjoyed good food and the opportunity to see and talk by phone with old friends.

Of the total raised, $13,215 represented new gifts, especially noteworthy as the School considers future growth. The alumni goal for 2002-03 is $559,000, making every alumni gift important.

Forty parent volunteers raised 194 pledges totaling $57,910 during three nights of phoning in early October. New and increased gifts totaled $19,100. Two hundred sixty-two constituents were reached.

As of mid-October the Day Parent Division had reached $83,129 and 49% participation overall. Individual school participation by parents was Lower School, 51%; Middle School, 46%; and Upper School, 49%.
