Parents Weekend coming soon

Darlington School’s Fall Parents Weekend, to be held Sept. 29 to 30, will feature a variety of activities for students and their families.
Friday will kick off at 9 a.m. with a guest lecture by Rosemary Stasek in the A.J. Huffman ’67 Memorial Athletic Center’s Van Es Arena. An Adviser/Parent/Teacher Meet and Greet will follow at 10:30 a.m., during which parents may sign up for afternoon conferences with faculty members.
Families are invited to lunch in the Dodd Dining Room at 11:30 a.m., followed by Parent/Teacher Conferences from 1 to 4 p.m. A family picnic in the Cove and School Store will begin at 5:30 p.m. (reservations required). Afterward, everyone is invited to Chris Hunter Stadium to watch the football game (Darlington vs. Temple). Game tickets can be purchased at the gate. At halftime, parents are invited to the Halftime at the Huff reception in the Yancey Suite of the Huffman Center.
Saturday morning, families are invited to a continental breakfast in Dodd Dining Hall. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon, followed by the Day and Resident Parent Lunch (reservations required). A college meeting for senior parents will be held in Morris Chapel at 2 p.m. Parents of underclassmen are also welcome.
