The Parents Association is establishing an endowment to support a new gift –the Faculty Excellence Award, a cash bonus awarded to a distinguished member of the Darlington faculty who has shown significant commitment to the School, its mission, and students. Parents have already committed $52,000 to permanently endow this faculty award. This honor will be given for the first time during faculty appreciation week of the 2001-2002 academic year.
The Parents Association will chose recipient(s) based on the following criteria: each beneficiary must be a member of the Upper and/or Middle School faculty, having served the School for at least five years; possess great skill and leadership ability; demonstrate a commitment to the Darlington Motto; and be a faithful member of the Darlington community and epitomize its cooperative spirit. This award may be received more than once, but no more than once in a five-year period.
