Parents Association Hosts Spring Lakeside Gala

Darlington Parents Association is presenting Lakeside Gala, this year’s annual parents association fundraiser, Friday, April 20, at 6 p.m., by Silver Lake. Darlington’s new cookbook, Through These Gates … A Taste of Darlington, will be featured and available for purchase. Some of the recipes submitted for the cookbook will be prepared for the evening’s dinner; there will be a reverse raffle with a chance to win $5,000; and the opportunity to bid on parking spaces, time-shares, trips to Mexico, the Caribbean and much more.
This event is open to the entire Darlington community: Lower, Middle, and Upper schools, faculty, day and resident parents and students, and friends. The Lakeside Gala immediately follows the annual Fine Arts Festival cooking up a lovely way to share an afternoon and evening with family and friends.
The dinner this year will be catered and will feature recipes from the cookbook. Parents will not be asked to provide food as for past parents association fundraisers. Pre-registration is highly recommended for most ingredients of the evening and necessary for the dinner. Those interested in purchasing a cookbook are encouraged to place orders prior to the event to assure that enough copies are available at the event. Purchase raffle tickets early as well since quantities are limited (200).
