Parent Forums to be held at each campus

This fall, Jim Hendrix, Darlington’s interim president for 2004-05, has scheduled two Parent Forums to be held at each campus throughout the year.
As explained in the president’s July 19 opening letter to parents and students, Hendrix hopes this initiative will be an opportunity to “sit down and discuss ways to be even more effective in the essential partnership we share in helping Darlington students develop and mature in healthy, age appropriate ways,” he said. “My year as interim president is certain to pass too quickly. Thus, I want to immerse myself in the Darlington community as rapidly as I can. I am hopeful that new initiatives such as these Parent Forums will help me become more knowledgeable about this fine school, and allow me to become better acquainted with the students, parents and faculty who are at the heart of it.”
The Lower School Parent Forum will be held Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 8:15 a.m. in Tiger Hall. The Upper School Parent Forum will be held Friday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m. in the Dodd Banquet Room. The Middle School Parent Forum will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 8:15 a.m. in the Yancey Suite of the A.J. Huffman ‘67 Athletic Center.
