One named to All-Area Wrestling Team

Senior Korey Pitts has been selected to represent Darlington on the Rome News-Tribune's 2008 All-Area Wrestling Team.
Pitts, a two-time Area 4-AA champion and 2007 state champion at the 112-pound weight class, finished third in Class AA with a 45-2 record this season. He won the Dalton Carpet Classic as well as tournaments at Pace Academy and Bowdon. He is the son of John and Staci Pitts of Silver Creek, Ga.
Junior Jett Wayne Puckett received an Honorable Mention for the 152-pound weight class.
