With an unanimous vote, "Fall Is Not Easy" by Marty Kelley was the book of choice for pre-K through first grade.

In "Fall Is Not Easy," a tree explains how all the seasons are effortless except for fall which requires a total change. This annual change doesn’t always go as planned and sometimes the tree’s colors won’t go where they belong or turn out just right.

Spring is easy, summer is easy and winter is easy, but in this silly book you find out why fall is not easy.
