No Pool Causes Few Waves for Swimmers

Although the Darlington swim team concluded the regular season with losses against Dalton and Sequoyah, Tuesday, Jan. 23, three members of the team emerged with first place wins: Wyatt Mooring won the 50 freestyle; Jordan Bray, 200 Individual Medley; and Megan Bevill won 1-meter diving. At the final meet, Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Rome High, the Tigers boys and girls teams beat Cherokee but lost to Rome High. Ben Crews won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle. Bray won the 200 individual medley, Rachel Sargent won the 500 freestyle, and Molly Matthews won the 100 breaststroke. Overall record: boys 3-5 and girls 1-7.
