National Merit Scholarship Program Names Finalists

Seniors Alexis Adams, Luke Farmer, Raul Gonzalez, and Adam Richardson are finalists in the 2000 Merit Scholarship competition. Headmaster David Rhodes presented each with a Certificate of Merit during assembly, Monday, Feb. 14.
The students entered the 2000 Merit Program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT, a nationally recognized standardized test, which serves as a screen of more than one million entrants. The Merit Scholarship competition is extremely rigorous and the number of awards available each year is limited.
Adam Richardson was one of four students, out of the 32,074 in the state of Georgia taking the PSAT/ NMSQT, who earned a perfect score, with 800s on the verbal, math, and writing portions.
