After 14 years at Darlington, Joan Myers is leaving pre-kindergarten and the Lower School for retirement. Myers began working at Darlington in February 1987 in the extended-day program. When the School expanded its program, Myers added work in pre-kindergarten to her responsibilities – first with Alice Watson, then later, with Beth Smith. “I don’t think anyone could begin to count the number of lives Joan has touched. Many of our lives are brighter because of our association with this kind, compassionate, loving person,” Lower School Principal Mark Tayloe shared. “Every day of her life, Joan is a living example of Christ’s love and humble servanthood.”
