Hey, my name is Kelly. I am from China and I have been at Darlington for three years. I came here in my freshman year; I cannot believe that I am a junior now. Time is flying, which also means I have enjoyed this school so much. I have made a lot of friends, and have had so many good experiences here.

The best experience I have ever had was joining the Lady Tigers basketball team last year. That was so much fun and means a lot to me. Our team was the best team ever because we loved each other, helped each other, encouraged each other, enjoyed the happiness of the victory together, and also bear the depressing feeling of the loss together.

At first, I felt lost when we practiced. I had no idea what I should do and sometimes I could not even understand what Coach Hembree was talking about. Also, my skill was not good enough. I was confused about everything, and two hours of practice almost exhausted my strength. I questioned myself all the time and I felt so disappointed in myself that I almost wanted to give up. However, I realize everyone in the team helped me all the time and Coach Hembree always patiently answered my questions. All the players on the team were really nice to me and they helped me when I got lost. A few weeks later, I felt much better and I was really thankful for the coaches and all the players on the team. Due to them, I did not give up in the middle of the season and we got really good performances at the end of the season.

I am so proud of our team. This is the best experience for me and they helped me realize that teamwork is the power of unity, and to recognize the love around me. I’m so glad that I did not give up.The fact that I have such a good memories shows that the time I had with the basketball team was the best time ever.
