  • Dan Bishop will attend the southern division convention of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) March 1-5. Bishop, Darlington choral director and chairman of ACDA’s repertoire and standards for high school choral groups, will represent the Georgia chapter of ACDA at divisional meetings throughout the four-day regional conference.

  • The Concert Choir under Choral Director Dan Bishop will perform in Jacksonville, Fla. Thursday through Sunday, March 30 to April 2. While in Jacksonville, the group will perform at various locations including Episcopal High School. Darlington’s connections with Episcopal High School include Episcopal’s headmaster Charles Zimmer, father of Darlington Associate Director of Admission Casey Zimmer, and Darlington’s college dean, Sam Moss, who served in various roles at Episcopal from 1967 to 1982.

  • The Darlington Players are beginning work on their spring production, A.R. Gurney’s The Dining Room, a challenging show for a cast of six. The Dining Room, set in a family’s dining room, takes a humorous look at a vanishing breed – the upper-middle-class. Performances will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 15-16, in the Zelle Drama Room. A third performance date will be announced soon.
