Murder mystery includes auction

Rumor has it that the butler holding the candlestick will bid on Upper School parking spaces. If this sounds like a collision between an auction and a murder mystery, that is precisely what is happening March 29 at Coosa Country Club at 7 p.m. Darlington’s Parents Association plans to include the customary spring auction in this year’s fundraising murder mystery event.
“Murder under the Magnolias,” professionally produced by Bacchus Entertainment, is an audience-interactive dinner theater where participants who first solve the theatrical mystery receive prizes. Tickets are $125 per person or $1,000 for tables of 10. The prized Upper School parking spaces and mystery boxes will be auctioned to the highest bidders during the evening.
All proceeds will fund faculty scholarships for summer continuing education and support student extracurricular activities. To purchase tables or, for those unable to attend, to sponsor a faculty member contact Lenora Santoro at 706-235-5047. Participation is limited to the first 200 people on a first come, first served basis.
