Montgomery named to Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

Joe Montgomery, vice president for institutional advancement, has been elected to the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, effective January 2005.
For 88 years, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce has been the grassroots voice of business, which represents its diverse membership of more than 3,300 in the policy-making arenas of state government. As it works to protect Georgia’s enviable pro-business environment, the Georgia Chamber remains mindful of its mission to keep the state economically prosperous, educationally competitive and environmentally responsible.
Darlington School is proud of the strong relationship it maintains with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Other members of the community elected to serve on the organization’s 2005 Board are Lynn Dempsey (’69) of Dempsey Auction Company in Rome, Darlington parent Kurt Stuenkel of Floyd Medical Center, Neely Young (’61) of Georgia Trend in Norcross, parent of alum Al Hodge of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Ken Davis (’69) of the Harbin Clinic, Frank Barron Jr. (’48) of Rome Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Jeff Mauer (’85) of Zartic, Inc. in Rome.
