Middle School students will be participating in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Walk/Run on April 20-21 at Ridge Ferry Park. The teams are made up of ten to twelve students ready to walk or run the relay. The event will begin after school on Friday, last all night, and end on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Beth Davis, a cancer survivor and mother of seventh grader, Michael Davis contacted Nancy Ivester, seventh grade class adviser, to invite the Middle School to participate in some way. Middle School students accepted the challenge and are working to organize one or more teams for the relay.

The fundraising began with a Stucco Day on Mar. 23, which raised $180 from ticket sales. Individual participants will also be collecting pledges as sponsorship for their efforts. For more information, call 706-234-7500.
