Community Service by Sixth-Graders
Sixth-graders volunteered a total of 276 hours to their communities winter trimester. The students volunteered for over two dozen charities ranging from Egleston Children’s Hospital to the Salvation Army.
Chorus Honored in Music Festival
The Middle School Chorus was awarded second place in the Middle School Concert Choir category at the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tenn., May 7- 8.
Sixth-grade chorus spirit awards were presented to the following students at the Middle School Honors Day May 24: Justin Murdock, Mary Becca Watson, Edward Bonnyman, and Rodneshia Fife.
Cheerleading Clinic for Middle School Girls
Darlington’s varsity cheerleaders are sponsoring a Middle School cheerleading clinic August 16-20 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Lower School gym.
The cost, which includes a T-shirt and snacks, is $65. To make reservations or for more information, call Maura Orio at 802-4365, ext. 589. Leave a message with the cheerleader’s name, age, address, and telephone number.
