Middle School Honor Society Inductions

Middle School Honor Society inductions were held March 29, in the chapel. According to Sally MacLeod, adviser to the Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, the purpose of the organization is to recognize those students who have exhibited good scholarship, good citizenship, service to others, leadership, and good character.

Members inducted during the ceremony included Elizabeth Alber, Mary Katherine Ashmore, Carrington Astin, Bennett Brock, Caroline Clark, Ryan Clark, Lauren Dean, Brittni Dulaney, Ashley Gaulin, Phillip Glover, Tristan Griffin, Jackson Harris, Elliott Harrison, Peter Hjort, Nicholas LeCroy, Miriah Martin, Mac McCord, Clark Coleman McGehee, Anna Orr, Mary Owens, Greg Phillips, Laura Roberts, Blakeney Spong, Wil Tucker, Brooke Wetherington, and Peter Whatley.

Officers and members who participated during the ceremony included Zach Ware, president; Kim King, vice-president; Barton Lowery, secretary; Kristin Kountz and Zoe Myers. Speakers were Lauren Bowling on scholarship, Ed Bonnyman on citizenship, Caroline Holbrook on character, Payton Bradford on leadership, and Jonathan Lane on service.
