Dear Darlington Community,
With mixed emotions, I write to let you know that our colleague and friend, Lucy Babcock (‘71T), has decided to leave Darlington in order to accept a position in the public school system. During the past 16 years, Lucy has touched the lives and hearts of so many of our students, many who are now young adults pursuing the lessons learned in their second-grade class.
I have only known Ms. Babcock for one short year, but it is very clear to me that her love of children, her professional attitude and her commitment to Darlington and its families have been felt by everyone. Her energy, enthusiasm and heartfelt service to our children and families will be missed. The Darlington community will always count Lucy as a friend. Please join with me and wish her well as she begins her new journey.
