Math Team efforts add up

With most of the members of the team that won first place in the 2002 AA State Math Competition having returned, this year’s Math Team has already qualified for the 2003 State Math Competition. The team’s 20 members are led by Captain Raymond Jang, senior.
On Dec. 7, the team traveled to Lassiter where they won a trophy for the Best Novice Performance. Math Team participants compete each year locally at Berry College and also at various meets in Atlanta, in addition to the state math competition held in Macon, Ga. The team also competes in monthly National Math League contests.
