Martial Arts Enthusiasts Create Demand for More Lopez Videos

Tony Lopez has been invited by Panther Productions, one of the most selective and prestigious martial arts training video companies in the world, to film a series of martial arts videos in California this summer. Lopez has already starred in a series of 11 successful martial arts videos, also produced by Panther Production, which has sponsored other famous martial arts experts, including Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris.
Upper School teacher Matt Gelfand and Darlington alumni Jesse Mayo '92 and Gabe Tharp '97 plan to travel to California with Lopez to assist with the videos. This trip will also give them the opportunity to train with some of the top martial artist in the country.
The videos will focus on Combat Sambo. Lopez's summer plans also include a trip to Geneva where he has been invited to train the Swiss National Sambo team. According to Lopez, he was invited by the team after they viewed his current martial arts videos.
