The Lower School will once again welcome new students and their families by holding two events before school starts. Parents of new students will be invited to an orientation where they can meet teachers and ask questions, and there will be an ice cream social where families can get ice cream and students will receive a ‘goodie bag’ containing school-related items and a list of all the new students’ names and numbers.

“The orientation is designed to familiarize parents with various policies and procedures,” Lower School Assistant Director of Admission Lea Duncan said. “The faculty [will be at the ice cream social], giving everyone the opportunity to meet and socialize with their new teachers. We hope this evening is fun as well as reassuring to the children that they are going to be embraced at their new school.”
