Thirteen-year Darlington music teacher Diane Lumpkin has been promoted to assistant principal of the Lower School. In addition to her teaching duties, for more than three years, Lumpkin has served as Lower School lead teacher, assuming a number of administrative duties. According to Lower School Principal Mark Tayloe, the promotion to assistant principal is an acknowledgement of Lumpkin’s energy and enthusiasm since she has already assumed many of the job responsibilities.
