Lawler ('01) wins Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation Scholarship

Catherine Lawler ('01), a recent graduate of Oglethorpe University, was selected as one of Omicron Delta Kappa’s 2005 scholarship recipients.

To be chosen as a recipient of an Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation Scholarship, a member must have been a senior or have graduated within the past five years and must have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA. The students must also plan to enroll as a graduate student within three years from the date of their application. A national committee selected 18 scholarship recipients.

Lawler completed her B.A. in English Oglethorpe University this past May. Lawler will be attending the University of Georgia School of Law, and hopes to practice as an attorney in the future.

The Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation has provided scholarships to over 370 men and women since this program commenced in 1931. Over $251,000 has been granted to students who have pursued graduate and professional degrees. The Omicron Delta Kappa Foundation currently has 18 scholarships available.
