Lady Tigers Defeat Walker to Move to 5-1

The varsity girls’ basketball team defeated Walker on the road last night, 50-28. Terar Stewart led the Lady Tigers with 16 points and was the only player in double-figures. This game opened the Region schedule and the Lady Tigers are now 5-1 on the season. Maggie Beth Atha had 7 points and Lindsay Evans and Sidney Stout each added 6.

“It was an outstanding defensive effort," said assistant coach Chris Allen. "Jane Campbell and Alea Vick really stood out with great hustle. Jane had a little extra motivation as she was playing against her former school. She played suffocating defense and scored 5 points.”

The JV team also won their game, 29-25. Ashley Edge led the team in scoring with 10 points and Lauren Hooper added 8.
