Lacrosse team looks ahead

The boys Lacrosse team is off to a good start this season. They are four and three and two and two in league play. The team is relatively inexperienced as far lacrosse goes, but they are also very athletic have a lot of great young talent. The largest part of our team is made up from the freshman, sophomores and juniors classes. The team is working extremely hard on the practice field and it is paying off as they show improvement every game.
Andy Babcock, junior, has been an extremely valuable member of the team in the goal this year. He has more saves than any other goalies in the league. On offense, major contributors are senior Ches Martin, juniors T. G. Bertoli, Jeff Hortman, and Ben McElrath, sophomore Kent Barber, and freshmen Will Foss and Lawton Wilson. The team’s strong defense of juniors Alex Murray and Robert Sturdivant, and senior Stiles Knight have stopped teams in their tracks.
“It is still early in the season and our 13-11 win over Westminister may allow us to turn the corner and make a successful push to the title game on May12,” said Tim Foote, Boys Lacrosse Head Coach.
