Junior recognized for piano excellence

Darlington junior Ted Summer recently completed 10 years of National level memorized piano auditions.

Each year, he performed memorized piano pieces from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Contemporary eras. He will be awarded a coveted Paderewski Medal from the American College of Musicians, located in Austin, Texas. He will also receive recognition in the National Guild of Piano Teachers magazine, Piano Guild Notes.

Ted is the son of Beth Summer of Rome. He studies piano and music theory with Glenda Potts, the area chairperson for Northwest Georgia Guild auditions.
