Jones named January Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Mary Bailey Jones the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for January.
Jones currently ranks 29th in the class of 139. During her high school career, she has taken 12 AP and Honors courses. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. A three-time UCA All-American Cheerleader, she is a varsity football and competition cheerleader. This year, she was one of four cheerleading captains and helped organize a Pink Out to support breast cancer awareness. She is also a member of the Student Activities Committee, the "Y" Cabinet, and has served as an admission liaison. Outside of school, she is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Rome.
The daughter of Allison and Dr. Ken Jones of Rome, she will be honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Jan. 30.
