Inman House initiates shoebox challenge

This year, the Inman House is encouraging each House to participate in Operation Christmas Child by challenging them to collect and fill 10 shoeboxes for the project.
“Operation Christmas Child is a chance to help bless underprivileged kids from all over the world,” said Daniel Hicks, director of student activities. “Each year, Samaritan’s Purse, a world relief organization, collects shoeboxes filled with gifts and distributes them at Christmas time. This year, they need our help.”
Houses that reach the goal will receive a Headmaster’s Stucco Day after Thanksgiving holidays.
Students interested in packing a box may follow these guidelines:
1. Find an empty shoebox. You may wrap it – lid separately – if you like, but wrapping is not required.
2. Decide whether your gift is for a boy or girl, and choose an age category: 92-4), (5-9) or (10-14).
3. Fill your shoebox with a variety of gifts. These can include toys, school supplies, hygiene items, candy, etc.
Boxes must be turned in by Sunday, Nov. 14. See your head of house to find out where to place your box, and click here for more information.
