Darlington’s “Inkslinger” was ranked among the Top-20 high school literary magazines in Georgia last year, earning the commendation of “Excellent” from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). A total of 489 schools entered NCTE’s 2008 Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines, which encourages schools to seek excellence in writing and school-wide participation in the production of literary magazines. The “Inkslinger” also earned a Bronze Medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
