'I Can, You Can, We Can' Say No to Alcohol, Tobacco and Drugs

This year for National Red Ribbon Week, all three divisions of Darlington School are adopting the theme "I Can, You Can, We Can say No to Alcohol, Tobacco and Drugs." Our kick off will be a can-a-thon to benefit the South Broad Food Pantry starting Monday, Oct. 25. Cans will be collected on each campus throughout the week.
In addition, students will participate in daily "themes" to reinforce the decision to stay drug free:
Lower SchoolMonday, Oct. 25 - I Can, You Can, We Can!
Students are encouraged to bring cannned food and wear red shirts with their uniform bottoms.
Tuesday, Oct. 26 - Put a Cap on Drugs!
Students may wear caps and/or hats with their uniforms.
Wednesday, Oct. 27 - Drugs Turn You Inside Out!
Wear your uniform inside out today.
Thursday, Oct. 28 - Let's Team Up Against Drugs!
Wear your favorite team Tshirt or jersey with your uniform bottoms.
Friday, Oct. 29 - Hocus, Pocus, Drugs are Not My Focus!
Wear your Halloween costume.
Middle School
Monday, Oct. 25 - Hooked on Books not Drugs!
Bring your favorite book to school. Also, the "SPIKE Out Drugs" student/faculty volleyball game will take place Monday afternoon.
Tuesday, Oct. 26 - Too Cool for Drugs!
Students may wear sunglasses.
Wednesday, Oct. 27 - Put a Cap on Drugs!
Students may wear a hat or baseball cap. Also, select students will participate in a "Black Out," an event to mark the loss of students their age who are victims of drunk driving.
Thursday, Oct. 28 - Join the Fight Against Drugs!
Students may wear camouflage.
Friday, Oct. 29 - Hocus, Pocus, Drugs are Not My Focus!
Wear your Halloween costume.
Upper School
Monday, Oct. 25 - I Can, You Can, We Can!
Can-a-thon kick off at assembly and create a Red Ribbon Tree.
Tuesday, Oct. 26 - Put a Cap on Drugs!
Students may wear baseball caps or hats with their uniforms.
Wednesday, Oct. 27 - Team Up Against Drugs!
Wear your favorite team T-shirt or jersey.
Thursday, Oct. 28 - I'm a "Jean"-ious. I'm Drug Free!
Jeans day.
Friday, Oct. 29 - Hocus, Pocus, Drugs are Not My Focus!
Wear your Halloween costume.
