Hutchins named September Student of the Month

Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Jordan Hutchins the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for September.
Hutchins currently ranks 22nd in the class of 138. During her high school career, she has taken 18 AP and Honors courses. She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and National Art Honor Society. She is also a member of the lacrosse and cross country teams and has participated in cheerleading.
Outside of school, Hutchins enjoys serving her community. For two summers, she has volunteered at Decatur Work Camp, hosted by the Church of Christ in Decatur, Ala. There, she helped fix and rebuild homes.
The daughter of Renee and Dr. James Hutchins, she will be honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on Sept. 26.
