HOPE Eligibility Requirements for Classes of 2000 and Beyond

Eligibility requirements for receiving the HOPE Scholarship will change beginning with the class of 2000. Students in this year’s freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior classes must have an 80 or better cumulative average in the following 15 core-curriculum courses: English, 4; Math, 3 (4 beginning with the Class of 2001); Social Studies, 3; Science, 3; and Foreign Language, 2. Only grades in those core-curriculum subject areas will count toward HOPE eligibility.
