Honor Society inducts members

Middle School Honor Society inductions were held April 18, in Morris Chapel. According to Sally MacLeod, adviser to the Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, the purpose of the organization is to recognize those students who have exhibited good scholarship, good citizenship, service to others, leadership, and good character.

Members inducted during the ceremony included Erika Binns, Norman Bonnyman, Kevin Bowling, Elise Braden, Marlowe Brandt, Robin Brass, Cee Cee Cambron, Allen Casey, Tiffany Dempsey, Adam Diggs, Christie Doss, Will Edwards, A.J. Evans, Alex Glass, Anna Krueger, Katherine Lynch, Emily Morrow, Caitlin Murray, Morgan Myers, Hannah Nichols, Jennifer Peacock, Michelle-Marie Picon, Ford Riddle, Michael Schecter, Brittany Sloan, Hannah Tillman, Ben McAbee, Dottie Vincent, Margot-Catherine Wallis, Chelsea Wells, Anna White, Lauren Wood, Alicia Wright, and Harley Yancey.

Officers and members who participated during the ceremony included: Carrington Astin, president; Peter Whatley, vice president; and Peter Hjort, secretary. Readers were Brooke Wetherington on character, Mary Katherine Ashmore on leadership, Clarke Coleman McGehee on citizenship, Anna Orr on service, and Lauren Dean on scholarship.
